How much to insure my 2005 limited edition T-Bird until I sell it
I have a 50th anniversary edition (#70/1500 of the
2005 Ford Thunderbird . I am seriously thinking of
selling the car for an SUV that can carry my 6 dogs!
I know the car cannot be replaced. I don't know its
value which really makes me worry if the car was
totaled. I think they have it listed as a normal 2005
Ford-T Bird. I do have uninsured motorist coverage
but I wouldn't have enough money to buy a new
vehicle. So can anyone who owns one of these
model cars, (I know there are 1,499 models out
there!) what do you other owners have them
insured for?? How do you get full replacement
coverage to purchase a new vehicle. This is the only
car I own. I am handicapped and think it would be
better to have a new SUV to drive my 6 dogs to the
vets! Low mileage 38+ miles. Brand new tires..
Any questions or offers please let me know
What do I insure it for??
Unless you can buy an agreed on value policy all you can do is try to insure it for replacement value. Shop around and talk to insurance agents to see what they can do for you. #1063 is for sale on Hemming's for 37K. https://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/cars-for- sale/ford/thunderbird/1962848.html
Thanks for the info. I know mine is in almost mint condition and very low mileage. Now because I'm in bankruptcy and no one will give me a car loan, any ideas from you nice people what a reasonable asking price would be? Cash BTW!
Whatever you can get for it. Finding a buyer will be the hardest thing. NADA list retail prices as $38K for High, $33K for the average, $22K for low. Remember those are retail prices, you are selling private party, so deduct some off of that. Good Luck!
your dogs will be disappointed they cannot ride in a convertible anymore
