Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2013 legacy 2.5i transmission has become very whiny.
It has 125,000. Miles. Is this normal for this transmission?

CVT's are known for their whine after the "belt" wears into the variable speed pullies.

Its been getting louder and louder as the miles get higher. It has 127,000 on it and its got a pretty loud whine. I'll take it to a shop. Thank you so much!!

CVT's cannot be repaired. You can change the fluid but that is about it. A new one will run you 8 GRAND!
