2013 GMC Terrian
Car was driving perfect with no slippage noticed in transmission. Started to hear an occasional noise, slight grinding, which I thought to be similar to a wheel bearing. only drove approximately 3 miles and noise was occasional not consistent. Finally a once loud noise and the car froze and would move forward in drive . Changed to reverse and car moved backward with no problem. Let sit for approximately two hours and easily loaded on tow truck and moved forward with no problem but car was in neutral. Took to shop and they stated the transmission was starting to leak and said to take to a transmission shop. I checked the garage floor and no notice of tranmsmission oil on floor. What is the problem. Car is AWD and the noise if in the front. Transmission, differential, wheels, ect?
