Have you replace the Throttle Position Sensor ? If its been sitting for an extended length of time the fuel may have spoiled. If it smells like thinner ... flush the fuel. But I'am sure John will be along soon to "HELP" Best of Luck, Mike

i have a 2002 5.9 that got hard to start. dealer checked it and said when it sets for a while the fuel is bleeding back to the fuel tank. told me the check valve in the electric fuel pump has stuck open and will have to replace fuel pump to fix problem. pump is ok itself just hard to start if it sets. i now turn key on and try to crank it then quit and try again, giving the electric pump time to build up pressure. it starts then. to replace pump is about 550.00 dollars.
