2013 Hyundia Elantra GLS Brake Light + TCS issue

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I normally am on here helping other users but I just ran into my own strange
problem. My fiance's 2013 Elantra was dead this morning. We charged the
battery and noticed with the car off, the brake lights were on. I did some
sniffing around and found that the rubber grommet on the brake pedal that
depresses the brake light switch fell off. No biggie, I improved a small
platform on the brake pedal to replace the grommet. The brake lights then
seemed to turn off properly. Now the yellow TCS light is on while driving the
car and the brake lights still do not turn off. The only way they turn off is after
turning the car off, you have to depress the pedal once for it to register off.
There is a brake switch recall on it that I'm addressing this saturday at a
hyundia dealer but what does the TCS have to do with this?
