I have a 2001dodge Dakota with a bad motor I purchase a2003 4.7 motor out of a dodge Dakota I need to know if it a difference and if it fits or is the same to swap it?

you have to change the tone ring on crankshaft and timing pulley on camshaft for the cam sensor they are different from 2002 and a half upeverything else should be good I had the same problem

one is a 16 tooth tone ring and the other is a 32 two tone ring

if u get the computoir out of the pick up u baught the engine from ull hve no problem and make suure u hve spark ok and fuel

aqnd also make sure u hiotch the fuel lines up right ok
