No Heat

Asked by GuruQX9Q3 Nov 15, 2019 at 07:53 PM about the 2013 Ford Taurus SEL

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have flushed the radiator core, I have changed the
heater control valve, I have manually moved and
tested a blend door actuator. No idea what's
preventing the flow of coolant through my heater
core. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

After a long day of testing multiple options I've come to the conclusion that the heater control valve was not getting a signal to open. I jumped the brand new heater control valve to make it open and I started getting Heat. I have manually forced the old valve open with a rubber grommet and put it back in. This will be temporary until I can figure out why I'm not getting a signal to the heater control valve. I didn't know if there is a fuse or a relay of some sort that I could check. Any thoughts on what I've done?
