I need answers about a ignition problem.

Asked by GuruF96PT Apr 13, 2020 at 02:21 PM about the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta Base

Question type: General

Ok lets see i own a 2012 VW Jetta S and i have had the
ignition replaced once already but didn't resolve
issue...when i go to shut of the car it sticks horribly to the
point where i have broken both keys. Now today i went to
shut car off and the key wont turn off at all. It's a 5 speed
so the only way i could shut car off is by staling it out and
disconnecting the battery to shut down the day running
lights. WTH could b the problem before i go spending
thousands trying to get it fixed.

Sounds like something inside of the steering column is broken. Best to have your local Volkswagen Dealer have a look at it! Hope that helps! Jim
