Ford Edge loss of power

Asked by MTLNBLK Sep 01, 2019 at 03:29 PM about the 2013 Ford Edge Limited AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2013 Ford
Edge Awd and
yesterday, sure
enough, I had the
dreaded loss of
power experience
for the first time.
Ive read about this
issue in the past
and felt pretty
confident my car
wouldnt have this
issue as it is
aleeady 6 years old
with only 59k miles
on it. Boy was i
wrong. Am I to truly
start believing that
a car company can
engineer a
mechanical part to
malfunction just at
the time a warranty
is to expire? Just a
thought. Anyways,
so are we all in
agreement that it
IS, in fact, the
throttle body
assembly that
would correct this
issue for good?

It’s possible it’s the throttle body. But you should scan it for codes first. And see what u have. That part does not fail as commonly as u think.
