Sometimes its written in the oddest of places by former owners. Look on drivers doorjamb. It's also on the BCM under the dash as shown. If all else fails the fcatory default code is stored in the PCM and the dealer can either get if from VIN (maybe) or fetch it out with diagnostic computer. They may or may not do it by phone, 1) they may want money 2) Proof of ownership. A dental mirror works great for this, it's intentionally not in plain sight

Did you buy the car new? If so look in the Owner's manual folder. Sometimes they are put in there on a white card. It will be 5 digits. Look in the glove box for a sticker with 5 digits. If you can't find it take it to the dealership and they can get it for you.

Very simple and very fast!! (you must have (2 keys for the car though) Put key #1 in ignition & turn on (don't start) for 5 seconds. Remove key-1 and put in key #2 and turn on for 5 seconds. the factory code will appear on the dash for about 10 seconds. That simple!!

man I owe you big time!!! Ive been crawling around under the dash with a mirror and camera having no success. I will never use Ford service because those asses were going to charge me $55 dollars and wait an hour for something that would of taken them 30 seconds.

I have a 2014 Fusion SE. Just bought it today and the dealer...not ford......did not even know that there was a keypad and unfortunately only one key. I really want to get this working since I only have one key. IS there any options other than going to the Ford dealer?

Micheal did you find it under the dash like FORDNUT said?

Exactly like the top photo. I shoved my iPhone into the space next to the foot brake and took several pictures. Two came back with the five digit code followed by the letter "L".

I did this: "Very simple and very fast!! (you must have (2 keys for the car though) Put key #1 in ignition & turn on (don't start) for 5 seconds. Remove key-1 and put in key #2 and turn on for 5 seconds. the factory code will appear on the dash for about 10 seconds. That simple!!" It did not give me a code. But now I have a light flashing (it is a pic of car w/padlock on it.) nonstop.

Bill you have to look behind the breaker on the left side. I put a mirror behind it and a light then took a picture with my phone. This video helped me https://youtu.be/vZFizHuR-Cc

I needed to also get my car door code because for some reason the card was misplaced and we have had the car for three years. I tried the two key method and it worked!!!!!!!! You do have to wait five seconds before putting in the second key. Thank you!!!

For 3rd GEN Fusions with push button start, the place to put the transmitter is actually under the rubber lining in the cup holder, not below the USB port (see pic). Procedure is in the owners manual (mine is a 2017 SE and it's on page 63). Here's the procedure. At no time should you touch the brake or otherwise start the engine. 1. REMOVE THE KEY BLADES FROM THE TRANSMITTERS OR THIS WILL NOT WORK 2. Remove the liner from the cup holder 3. Place the first transmitter in the holder, buttons up with the unlock button facing the front of the car 4. Press engine start, wait 5 seconds then press engine start again 5. Remove the first transmitter and put the second one in its place 6. Press engine start. DO NOT press any buttons on the steering wheel - just let it cycle through the alerts and eventually the code will show up (displays for about 10 seconds) 7, Take a pic or write it down - DONE!

I found the sticker with code easily under the drivers stuff. Got code changed it perfect! I got a 2012 Fusion sell yesterday. It only has one key, not the admin, it has some my key settings enabled. Anyone have luck with having batteries plus resetting and making an addition key? I have a working fob key!

I just bought a 2014 fusion with no card or any info om keyless entry. You guys saved my fat rear end from getting stuck in between my seat and the floor board. You guys are awesome.

Just purchased a 2016 fusion se and the factory code was in the owners manual cover, I thought. It wasn’t the correct code. I did the two ignition keys in and turned to on and the real factory code popped up on the left side information display on the dash. Thanks for the info!!!

I just followed your instructions and the photo to find the sticker in my son's 2011 Taurus that we bought used, with only one key, and no keyless entry code. So excited! Thank you!

I just purchased a 2018 Fusion Hybrid with 2 keys but only one has the pod with it. I cant locate a factory code because under my steering wheel doesn't look the same as the picture. Any suggestions?

Need help. I did the 2 key trick and got the factory reset code. When I enter the code, the car says it's invalid. Anyone know what to do now?

I was not able to use the 2-key method. But I found the factory code exactly where you said it would be, see picture. Remember, you have to add the unlock code at the end of your 5 digit code. For me, 891373.

Michael and Larry. Thanks for sharing the PIC. Where exactly is the PIN located? I don't know much about vehicles and hence if you could be descriptive then that would be helpful. I have both of the keys and tried the trick but it didn't work. Dealership wants $50 to retrieve the PIN number - which is ridiculous..

One addition to the instructions for the start button process in the cup holder. On my 2017 Ford Fusion SE the driver's door had to be open for the process to work. I initially tried with the door closed and it didn't work. Keep the door open and the code displays right after the door ajar message goes away.

Okay this is an update to a previously commented post. I have a 2012 Ford Fusion SEL. The key code is almost always underneath the driver side console. Look for two wire harnesses and the code for the door will be betwixt them. Should be followed by an L.

@Larry Can you explain the unlock code a bit more. I was able to get the factory code with the two key trick but its not working on my edit screen or on the door.

Mine was on far left of brake peddle up top. Circled in picture. Worked for me. Key trick did not work

I have a 2016 Ford Fusion SE. I have followed all the instructions that everyone has put about the location of the label. I still can not find it. Can someone be more specific about the location to look. I can't see behind the fuse block due to a bracket.

20

Never mind. I found the key code. It's on the sticker behind the bracket on the 2015 and newer. See photo for where to look on said sticker.

I have same problem as ABRx4, above. A five-digit code shows up on the dash after trying the two-key method, but that code doesn't work. Also tried reprogramming it, and also the factory reset option. Nothing gets the door open. In all cases, I honored the five-second rule.

Does anyone know if this is the same for the 2013 Fusion Hybrid? I checked down by the brake pedal and it doesn't have the same junction box. The fuse box is under the hood, but I don't want to mess with pulling everything out unless there's actually a sticker to be found. Does anyone have any experience with the Hybrid?
