Asked by Kodster7 Aug 18, 2016 at 07:58 PM about the 2002 Dodge Durango SXT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

So I keep getting 4 code a p 0031 p 0037 and p
0132.
Replaced both 02 sensors but still stays on frond
one of the wires burnt thru on the exhaust.
Soni just replaced them both but won't go off I'm
wondering if it took out the pcm and if so how do
you know.

Double check the upstream HEGO (heated exhaust gas oxygen) sensor connector and wiring make sure its intact. connect to the j1962 port OBDII and read freeze frame info on the PCM (computer) next erase codes. run the vehicle and check codes again.

do not unplug the pcm. this can cause the abs module to lose its programming and will need to be reprogrammed if lost. as Auto_centric said check the wires and connectors the oxygen sensors plug into. if they seem fine try and test the sensors. cause a vacuum leak and make sure they respond, do the same with something flammable like propane and make sure they respond. If you see no change then they either aren't up to temp, check oxygen sensor heater fuses, or the new oxygen sensor is defective.
