The transmission fluid level needs to be at operating temperate to check it correctly from underneath the car. How many miles on your Corolla?

Thanks for the response. 110,000 miles I called to get filter, pan gasket, and fluid. Parts man told me filter gets cleaned then reused. Then he said let me check with a tech I think that year needs to be check with a scan tool because its difficult to put the right amount in without a scan tool?? This puzzled me because I know you check the level at operating temp. with the engine running via the trans dip stick. So why would I need a scan tool? I want to drain change/clean filter and refill. One you tube video said to measure what you remove and refill with same amount. Then run and check. I think this trans gets WS (world standers fluid) Does it have to be toyots? or any WS will do? Thanks, David
