Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I bought my used Toyota Corolla car with check engine light was on until I
went to Toyota to get my airbag replaced and had them check engine light
on.
They did some repairs so the warning light was no longer showing.  I went
to get my smog check and it felled because the computer did not reset.
They told me to drive on freeway to get it reset.  I drove all weekend and still
not passing.  They said I must drive on freeway.  I did I long as I could stand
it.  But if it fails again can the computer be reset manually by a service
person?

The codes need to be cleared and a drive cycle completed. Look up how to complete a drive cycle on the web.
