Easy here.... Either you have a completely worn INNER pad you didn't see when checking the outers, or a pad holder has slipped in position, grinding away against the rotor. Subaru rotors are too thin to cut, so either replace or just inspect INSIDE (car side) surfaces for corrosion. Are these your original rotors? If so, it's done well, as the mean life here in the Northeast is 3 winters. Oh, I forgot: you may simply have a small rock stuck between the thin rotor backing plate and the rotor. Happens all the time with the salty gravel used in winter. Bend the plate(s) to shake out the rock and reposition to not hit anything when rolling. Start here before removing rotors and/or pads. i took calipers off to see inner pads didnt see any scarring on either side of rotors.....but im going to do a thurough inspection.....this grinding is annoying the hell outta me lol

Again, are the rotors grinding against their backing discs when turning? Simple problem to solve, and commonly occurs after brake work.
