2012 rav4 tra c & 4we light come on this morning. Put in gear won't go over 5-10 mph

This morning started 2012 Rav4 & Trac & 4WD & check engine lights come
on. I put car in drive & could feel & hear it make a thunk sound. Stepped on
gas to try to drive it and the car wouldn't go any faster than 5-10 MPH even
when pushing gas pedal harder. Tried several fixes other people have posted
and none have worked. After reading several stories about Toyota dealer
maintenance departments not sure I want them to look at the car. Also I know
that they charge an exorbitant amount just to look. Any suggestions? Thanks
