2006 Honda pilot, losses power, gauges, navigation blinks

Asked by Raye Nov 10, 2018 at 09:38 AM about the 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L with Nav 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

For a little over a year now my Pilot has a vtm-4, vsa, tpms lights have been
off and on, my o2 sensor has been replaced with an advanced auto part. Last
evening while driving in the rain my car bogged a few times then my gauges
stopped working. My navigation also started blinking off and on and then went
to just a bright screen. I attempted to get home, my headlights started to dim
then my car lost power. I had no caution lights, the dashboard lights would
immediately blink. Then while I was waiting on the tow truck, my locks were
making noises like they were locking and unlocking while my key was off.
Short of an exorcism do I have a chance to fix this mess?

Alternator seems to have gone ded. Get a new one. They’re around $400 (USD) which isn’t too bad.
