the vehicle is having is slight loss of power on take off and
poor MPG. No issues with cranking.

Could be one of the camshaft sprockets not parking. I have the same code and have completed the same diagnostics and finally took it to the dealership for my extended service for a failed oil consumption test. Upon disassembly, they verified the exhaust cam sprocket was seized in the full- advanced position from oil starvation. Parts and labor for the sprocket alone is just under $1000, but if you're confident, parts can be had for roughly $125-150 from Rock Auto and it's about an hour job. Good luck!
