I just bought a new 2012 Tacoma Crew cab HRD Sport, is there a better highway grill availble than the factory grill?

Asked by Wpgtaco May 07, 2012 at 03:56 PM about the 2012 Toyota Tacoma Double Cab SB V6 4WD

Question type: Car Customization

I live in the great north (canada) and do a lot of highway driving in the summer. The factory grills seem very open
and allow a lot of bugs to get in bedded into the rad fins. Is there a better protective grill to keep a better percent of
the bugs from rocking my rad fins?

go buy a screen like the ones on a storm door and tie them to the inside of the grill. It will maintain air flow, but stop the bugs

No need to change your grill. You can go to any hardware or department store and get screening. Cut it to size and attach unde4r the hood inside the grill or outside on the grill (depending on preference) with lock ties, twist ties, etc. This'll stop the bugs from getting through. You can sponge them off with soap and water...if it gets too dirty, then toss it all out at the end of the summer.
