Drivability of 2004 Dodge Neon SXT with spark plug issue.

Asked by Chris Sep 16, 2018 at 09:36 AM about the 2004 Dodge Neon SXT Sedan FWD

Question type: General

I have a 2004 Dodge neon and one of the sparkplug sockets in the head became stripped and popped out. This first happened a year ago. I retapped the hole and put in a helicoil. This lasted until about a month ago, the socket became stripped again and the spark plug popped out, and I cannot rethread the head again. I'm trying to sell the car now and I have poeple asking me if it is drivable. Is the car drivable for short distances at least with only 3 cylinders?

You're very lucky to have some interested buyers. Don't make them wait and get discouraged. Swap the title for the money fast. Have a friend with a truck tow it to it's new home.
