Dodge neon sxt 04

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

It keeps over heating it stays at halfway for about
an hour then shoots all the way up the water pump
is new and so is the hose and so is the thermostat
and radiator and the fans I think I may need a new
thernostat the one I have could be defective?

possible thermostat bad even new ck heat 190,195,etc,install proper tempthat book calls 4 if anyone has ever put stop leak inthe radiator or you may have a cracked head gasket or a crack in the water jackets or if you a just plain lucky just a clogged water inlet or outlet or water jackets
