On a 2012 I would hope that the heater core is not blocked. You can flush it out. Low coolant? Air in the system? Does truck run colder on temp guage? Have you had thermostat changed? Heater control door actuator broke or stuck in the closed stage? This could be it due to the A/C now working good. With it closed it is now on the cool/cold setting
