No brakes on a 04 Dodge Durango

Asked by Michael Jun 23, 2018 at 04:10 PM about the 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 04 Dodge Durango and the brakes just went out. When the engine is
off I have brake pressure but as soon as I turn on the engine no brakes. Ive
bleed the lines and I am wondering if it is the ABS module or the master
cylinder? Anyone have any thoughts on my issue?

You could isolate to master cylinder to verify it's working or not by taking the lines off and plugging the holes. Would also have a look at your vacuum line for the brake booster and check valve to rule that area out too. Hopefully it's not the ABS unit but would try a final bleed after checking some more things out. Good Luck!
