'04 Dodge Durango issues

Asked by AllyHerGally Aug 19, 2016 at 07:04 AM about the 2004 Dodge Durango SLT 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hello , my  04 Dodge  Durango is cutting off when I
put it in reverse. Also the car jerks while I'm
driving. I realized I was leaving my car charger
plugged in and it was still on. 3 mechanics have
test drove and put it on their machine, and all have
said nothing came up. 1guy told me it might be the
gas pump, he told me to put Lucas gas treatment
in it; it is a little better but that just wasn't it. What
might be the problem? I'm planning a trip to
Galveston and I need to know if we'll make it.. 6hr.
drive..

check your transmission fluid color and level. if its low top it up if its not red and is instead brown as well as smells burnt you need a new trans.
