2004 durango Battery dead

look for anything electrical that supposed to switch off, and doesn't. i have had three different vehicles that did the'drain battery' thing. one had a visor mirror with a flip up cover and lights,the cover hinge broke,lights stayed on,car only driven in daytime,so i never realised the light was on under that cover.found it one night when i went out to remove the batt.charger. another car got it's underhood light bent during an oil change/service visit to the shop.found it pretty easy the first night before the batt. went dead. even a phone charger left plugged into the power point might use power when the phone isn't plugged up.

Like above check if there is something on also check the alternator it is supposed to deliver between 14 and 15 volts to the battery when engine is running. check and clean all ground connections with wire brush both on the battery and the ones going to the body.

You can unhook your neg battery cable attached the positive multimeter probe on you postive post of your battery and neg probe on your neg cable, do a ohm test ! Pull one fuse at a time to see if you get a drop on the meter! You will find what is draining you battery! Hi
