need to find back hatch sensor when you open it it will go half way up then back down then up then stop in middle

You probably have worn out hatch lift cylinder/ struts that make the hatch heavier which tricks the sensor. Try pushing on the hatch by hand as it opens and see if it goes all the way up. If it does, time to replace both struts. You can pick them up at any auto parts store.
