2012 dodge grand caravan code

Asked by Guru55251 Mar 22, 2018 at 06:34 PM about the 2012 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Hey guys...I had such a good response with my last
problem I'm hoping you all can help me again. I have
uploaded a picture of a code I am getting. What my van is
doing is when the check engine light comes on my van will
drive but it will not shift past I think second. If I need to
accelerate I have to manually downshift with the gearshift.
But when the light goes off it works fine and I don't have to
manually shift but it only takes a few days for the light to
come back on.  I've been told that it is an oxygen sensor
and I've also been told it's the catalytic converter. Can
anyone tell me what the problem is?

Sounds like the converter broke apart and clogged up the exhaust causing low power issues, the engine can't breathe.
