2003 Honda Accord ex-l v-6 D3 and D information?

Asked by Daiker2381 Jan 23, 2016 at 12:44 PM about the 2003 Honda Accord EX with Leather

Question type: General

Yes it's am automatic transmission since my town is
nothing but hills everywhere I can use d3 around town and
shift into d when I can can reach that speed for d right
and also if I do need to pass scar on the freeway buy
shifting down from d to d3 for a added boost and speed
right as long as I only use 2 and1 for like snow or
something like that only need to kinda of gears as long as
I just use d3 and d  my transmission will be all right??
What can I do matenace wise to my transmission to
prevent any problems suggested fluids since the vtech
kicks in at higher rpm is it ok while in d3 to get my cars
rpms and take advantage of that vtech power as long as
it's not everyday redlining it and proper maintenance and
care I should be good huh I mean it is a Honda with some
horsepower? And d3 could be used going down hills and
coming of of corners to get that speed up there quick
again huh? But once again not everyday all day once in
awhile or a back road going for a drive that it was needed
until I have to shift it back into d huh?

Are you having a problem with the transmission or are you just asking about specific use of the gears? It is an automatic, so just start the car, put it in the D or D4 position and use it. It will automatically select the proper gears from a dead start and then go thru the entire range to where it belongs. As for snow and hills, there is still no need to switch the gears really. You will just be messing with the natural order of things.
