Lifter's 2005 Dodge Stratus

Question type: General

I have a 2005 Dodge Stratus, I was wondering how many
lifter's the car took, it has a bad one ticking, I was just going
to replace all of them at the same time...
The engine is a 2.4 dohc, does anyone have a clue?

The problem with lifter noise (valve clatter) isn't usually defective lifters. It's a dirty engine. Try an engine cleaner, like Seafoam, and see if that clears it up. If not, find the noisy area, pull the intake and see if you actually have one scarred lifter. Clean that area, clean any scores from the lifter and replace it. on a fifteen year old truck, that's probably all you need.
