Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I put a head gasket on my 05 neon. The timing is
correct and everything. I start it it runs fine for a
second then starts idling really funky it's kinda hard
to explain. I did wash the cylinder head with water.
Is that where I went wrong?

did you make sure connect all of the various sensors? Sounds to me like the MAF or a MAP sensor is not functioning- it could even be an idle air control or TPS (Throttle position sensor). Check that out and keep me posted.
