Brakes

Asked by Dragonfly Aug 02, 2017 at 07:29 PM about the 2000 Jeep Cherokee SE 4-Door 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Trying to help my mother with a problem I've never
heard of. It's a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo
4×4. All for brakes lock up after 30 minutes of
driving.

Not the case, after it cools, you can drive another 30 minutes before they lock up. Never in my life hive I ever seen 4 calipers seize up at once, has to be something causing it.

Calipers for me. I would drive in hot weather and they would drag until stop. Next day cold run ok. Jeep calipers have pistons made of plastic/fiber. Get the ones that are metal.
