I have a 2000 Jeep Cherokee. The shift that has 4 all time N and 4 lo. What does this mean, how do I move the shiffter? What should it be in for regular driveing?

do you have a 2wd option? if so keep it there unless you need 4wd. if you have no 2wd selection and it is a 2000 model, yo have a grand cherokee with a v8. either way, do not use 4wd lo on pavement

Thanks for the info. I tried to put in N on the 4wd side. It just make it stay in neutral even when I put in drive on the shift stick. So I guess it is 4wd all the time. And yes it is a v8. Thanks again for the reaponse. :-)
