Hood Release

Asked by GuruQ9BLT Nov 11, 2019 at 01:19 PM about the 2003 Chevrolet Astro LT Extended AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When I pull the hood release in the passenger compartment, the hood doesn't pop up so that I can't get to the Hood Release under the hood.  The Battery needs charged and I was going to hook up to recharge the battery.

Hit the center of the hood with the heel of your hand or a rubber mallet. Once you get the hood open, lubricate the latch with some WD-40 or white lithium grease. Hope that helps! Jim
