The Magnum seems be known for tank vapor recovery issues. The tank accumulates water easily, and when you fill up it all goes right to the injectors. The car won't run on water, obviously. My R/T ('06) does the same thing every winter. Try adding a bottle of drygas for the next three or four fill-ups, and don't fill the tank all the way. It will clear itself out eventually. I add drygas once a month in the winter, and it seems to have taken care of it.

Dodge has extended the fuel tank warranty on 2006 Magnum, Charger and 300 V-8s. A Federal Inquiry determined that the fuel tank shut-off valve is overly sensitive to high-ethanol content fuel. The fuel tank shut-off valve will be replaced by Dodge at no cost. http://blogs.cars.com/kickingtires/2014/02/chrysler-extends-fuel-tank-warranty-on-2006-v-8-chrysler-300-dodge-charger-and-magnum.html

Follow-up: Gas tanks are back-ordered and can take up to 3 months from the date you schedule the repair. Don't wait. Every 2006 Magnum, Charger and 300 manufactured needs to have this repair done.
