Ringing Bell Type Noise Coming from Rear of '12 Mercedes GLK

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

There is a loud ringing bell noise coming from the back of my 2012 Mercedes
GLK350. My mechanic cannot seem to find where it is coming from. Any
suggestions? It is heard from outside of the car too. I have monitored to see if
it is in the mornings/evenings/different weather conditions.. all the above and it
is at all times. THANKS FOR ANY HELP PROVIDED!

Is this in park or when you are driving? I would have him put it up on a rack and run the car and listen for the noise.

Put it up on a rack and have someone "drive" the car while your mechanic listens.
