Convertible Top Hard Snap Closing

I have a 2012 Mercedes-Benz 350 E350A Cabriolet - convertible.  When
opening or closing the soft top, the last 6-8" of closing it's begun to close with
a much louder BANG than originally.  It's like the mechanism hangs up just
before closing and has to force itself the last way.  Maybe it just needs grease
or some other lubrication.  What do you think?
