What's wrong with my Jetta?

I have a 2001 Jetta 1.8T starts fine in the morning but after driving it for awhile it just
stops. If I try to start it nothing happens gave to wait close to 45 minutes before it will start
again then I have the same problem of it stopping. Any ideas of what might be causing
this?

Does your dash have a key symbol on the dash when you turn the key to power on? if it does you most likely have an immobilizer issue. Its very common issue for the jetta's. You may have to have your key recoded to the car or you can try a few tricks to reset the system. Let us know if you have the symbol and we can go from there.
