Engine won't start

I have replace water pump timing belt I have spark and it is on time but the
engine sounds like it is cranking to fast  has like a wining squealing sound when
I am cranking it what else should I  check one mechanic told me I could
probably have a bent  value

Was it running properly before the belt and water pump was replaced?
