I don't know what's wrong with this stupid car!!!!

I have a 2006 Dodge stratus sxt. It does
not want to shift when you press on the
gas. It doesn't matter if your just starting
out pr if you are going 50 and press the
gas pedal down to get to 60. It revs really
high and sometime doesn't want to shift
unless I let off of the gas and it goes down.
Does anyone think they may know or have
had a similar circumstance?
