2006 Dodge Stratus 82K original miles, runs great!

Asked by May 23, 2017 at 07:23 PM about the 2006 Dodge Stratus R/T

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Who's bright idea at Dodge was it that designed the
battery location /replacement on these? (Provided
not the alternator which I will test next thanks to
great solutions posted here) Shop just quoted  $260
+ tax to service. Are you kidding me? How annoying!
Anyways,  I'm curious about a simple fuse
replacement.... is that a possibility? My car just died
one day. ..no warnings. Will take a charge,  last for
3-4 more starts, sounds great but then its done
again. I did notice a high pitched "hum" coming
from beneath left front and was prior to problem.
And that was only after car ran awhile. Then stop
again. The very high pitched noise.
Anyways,  fuse?  Battery?  Alternator?  Thoughts???
Most definitely,  the name of engineer that designed
battery location haha.
