Question type: General

I have 109,000 miles on my durango and the millage is getting worse on a vehicle that already gets poor millage. I recently replaced the EGR valve and the plugs. any ideas?

Air filter ok? Driving over about 62 mph really hurts my mileage in my 2007 hemi 1500. I try to stay off interstate or if I have to run it try to keep speed down. Other drivers might not like it to much but if I run 70+ you can almost watch the gas needle drop.

thanks mark, yes I have a k&n filter, could need cleaning. I typically was getting 19 to 22 miles/gal on the freeway at 65 mph. recently I can barely get 18 and the in town millage is down around 2 miles/gal also.based on what the computer is telling me. the only thing I am noticing is the exhaust is getting louder probably a result of the baffles on the inside of the muffler and resonator rotting out.

Cleaning the air filter will probably help some.
