Sirius radio problems

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I've been having problems with my Sirius radio cutting out- especially when going under over passes. Recently, the satellite shows no signal and doesn't come back on like it usually does. I called Sirius and they did many resets and told me I need to take it to the dealer. I've been reading blogs about other people having the same problem. I'm looking for ideas of what I can personally do before I take it to a stereo shop. I hate taking my car to the dealer as many people do.

That is helpful although, my problem is a bit different as my radio cuts out for days on end. At this point, it has been out for over a week.

Do you have a late model Honda CR-V? If so, I had the same issue where it just totally cut out and went blank on the display screen. Spent an hour on the phone with Sirius, tried everything, no luck. Then I called Honda who just said to bring it in for service...then I found the easy fix that no one seemed to know about. Press your radio power button and hold it down till it says "reboot?" Click yes, let it reboot and it was back up and running. I missed my Sirius radio sooo much so I am thrilled to have it back. Hope this helps anyone else with a 2018 CR-V.
