I have a 2006 charger 5.7 hemi. Car is running fine but I noticed the cooling fans are getting louder. Should I just replace them?
It was making a really loud vibrating noise while I was sitting at a signal with the AC on.
It was 105 outside. The temp and idle were both normal. I pulled over and turned it off.
When I restarted it, the temp shot up and eventually went down. Everything went back to
normal and I drove it home. Should I replace the cooling fans anyway?
Check your water pump. And when the engine is cold check the coolant level. Make sure that its full.
Coolant was a little low so I topped it off water pump is working but only 1 fan turns on when operating at normal temp and AC is on full blast. It's also 102 here today. Suggestions?
The one fan sounds about right. But if you can, with everything OFF try to turn it. If it turns freely then I think you are ok. I think the second fan is when it starts to get to hot. Just keep your eye on it. BTW 102!!!!! And I thought it was hot here in the Philippines! 84 at 9:00am.
Both fans turn fine with the car off and temp seems to be back to normal. I ran it to full temp with the AC on and only the one fan turned on and it seems to be pretty loud. The bigger fan never did turn on so I think. Have to replace them.
Check your fuses. I think it is on a different fuse.
Hello I have a 2006 Dodge Charger Rt 5.7 I need to know what kind of nut connects the fan to the radiator motor because mine are not on there today and both of my fans have came off the radiator motor
