When i turn on my ac or put the heat on i here a loud ticking noise but when the ac off
and the heat the noise stops what can this be? I just got a 2012 chevy Malibu two days
ago and the noise started today.
If blower speed is actually what affects the sound coming and going, try inspecting the blower and lubricating the bushings. if it was obstructed, you could clean the heater case of debris
If your system has a part like a blend door actuator, you could be hearing it trying to work against an obstruction, like a pen went down the vent? But operate the functions and observe what you can to find the source of what you hear, note when it starts and ends and try to determine it.
