I have a 2010 VW Tiguan that yesterday started to produce heat only on the driver side. It blows air on the passenger side but no heat. VW does offer zone heating but my car doesn't have that option.

There is a blend door actuator switch that may be faulty.

Hey Ken, I just changed my heater core a few weeks ago and it fixed the issue.

Got my heater core flushed. Cost 200 bucks but probably save a thousand getting the core changed. Heat works great now. On both sides. Before it only worked on drivers side. So pretty easy and cheap fix considering.
