Screeching front end..

Asked by Taylor Aug 14, 2017 at 04:53 PM about the 1995 Chrysler Sebring LX Coupe FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 95 sebring coupe. While I'm driving there is
a loud screeching noise coming from my front end.
When i stop the noise stops. Just changed the
pads a bout 3 months ago and i dont drive it hard
at all... There is no change in the pitch or volume of
the noise either. Whenever its going on it sounds
the same as it did before. Please help me!

Is the dust shield rubbing the rotor? Did you install screamers correctly? Did one of the screamers get bent towards rotor? Did you clean hub off of old rust before installing new rotor so it sat flat against hub? This could be rubbing due to being crooked? Secure vehicle and jack up front and turn each wheel while inspecting noise location. A visual of rotor through rim might tell a story before jacking up.
