How to fix the gear shift

The gear shift will not move from park to any other
gears.

if it is stuck in park and will not shift, It sounds like your shift interlock, there is a electric solenoid that when you push on the brake it unlocks the gear shifter. if this is the case, take the cover off the shifter and locate the interlock, unplug it and take a test light to see if you have power if you do replace the interlock solenoid
