I pumped up to test my 2012 Buick Lacrosse. I got the needle into the middle of the 20 pound gauge. I left the area for about 7 minutes and the gauge had gone to just below the 20 mark into the 17-19 area I did notice drips coming from the rear engine passenger side. The engine cover has V6 VVT and I've not found a diagram on the cooling systems. So I'm assuming the leak is at the heater core or water pump. In your opinion, will stop leak maybe help this if it's a heater core or water pump
Nope. In fact using that stuff can cause more damage that it’s helps. Best to have your favorite shop tear it down and fix the real problem not just treat the symptom. After all you don’t want to burn the engine up due to a coolant loss.
