The driveshaft will go into a transfer case, to transfer power to the rear wheels as well. no transfer case = two wheel drive.

My title says 2005 Ford escape XLT 4WD I sold this vehicle 3 months after buying it. The man contacts me the next day and says the shop he took it to says it's 2WD. I posted as 4WD now he wants to take me to court. I don't understand how this is my fault?
