Heavy car wobble & engine light popped on today..?

Asked by Guru8F7WM Jan 08, 2020 at 08:14 PM about the 2012 Chevrolet Cruze 1LT Sedan FWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I have a 2012 Chevrolet Cruze LT that wobbles pretty good at around 5mph to
35 mph. The wobble is pretty heavy and is throughout the whole car. It feels like
it is coming more from the front. I noticed this morning that the check engine
light also just came on?? What could I be looking at now??

Take it to an auto parts store and get the check engine light code scanned. (Most do it for free.) the wobble can be a bad tire, tire imbalance, or CV joint problem. Very likely it is a bad tire, the steel belts in them can separate causing your symptom. Almost any shop and spin balance a tire to determine if it's good or not.
