the doors will automatically lock upon shutting off the engine and get out of my 1998 Chrysler Sebring. They will not reopen with or without a key. They stay locked.

1998 Chrysler Sebring LXI. when I park the car, shut off engine, close door, they both lock and cannot be reopened with or without a key. Help would be appreciated.

does you key fit the door?

the key fits the door and "feels" like it is moving the lock. turning the key either way has no affect. The door will not swing open.
